SEtting for a duck hunt on peas where there is little straw makes it a challenge

Out scouting one morning I see this awesome flock of ducks on rows of uncombined wheat. Now that will be a place to hunt soone.

A great trophy for Bernie. Thisis the largest black bear taken which will be mounted in his living room by next spring.

80yr old Bernie examines this great bear. He pulls the trigger on his 7mm Remingtopn abnd puts this bear down after the smaller bear chased the larger one from the barrel quite a few times not giveing Bernie a good shot. Finally the chance came and he took the shoulder out and brought it down. Not bad for a young fellow like Bernie .

MIke Miller has no problem putting this big sow down with his bow. After a little tracking, a little Grizzly driving he had his great bear. Then we check out her teeth and there are NONE. ONly canines left in her mouth all others are worn down and missing to gums.

 

Mark takes this bear with his Hoyt TEch bow, after much tracking we leaveit till morning for better light. The bear measures over 5.5ft and has great color. Way to go Mark!

THis park bait is being hit hard over the time we baited it. With hunters here acitivity is still high. We took a bear here last nite and today it is cleaned out. We will leave it for a couple days before we hunt it again just to give animals a time to stop being wary.

Kevin takes time to put a hook in the water while waiting for his buddy mark to get his bear. Not a Walleye but alittle perch is all he seems to land.

While waiting for bear hunters Judy had this big fellow arrive about 300 yds from teh truck. I should have had the 200yd lense ont he camera of course. But he circled me tring to wind me then went back into the woods. We do have a bear bait just west of here so he must be feeding there.
