Fall Bear bait site

At this site we have placed 2 barrels of oats as this one bait is usually got mauch activity. In past we have placed 6 and 8 barrels due to number of bears feeding here. Every year we shoot good bears at this bait. Tom is putting meat scraps in the meat barrel and on the tree is the goody barrel for pie filling and marsh mallows tha tyou can see on the ground. Red squirrels have a party with these.

Not a very clear photo but this is Marylou Eubanks bear getting last little fleshing for the full body mount she has requested. It is really hard to see what a great color it really was but it will be an awesome mount when done.

Sights for the photographer

This cow moose and bull 2yr were just 3 miles from the lodge. Tom and Gary we getting the 300 loaded but season is not open till mid Sept. It is amazing to have these moose closeby in past we never had bear or moose or elk anywhere near the lodge. Even tonite we saw fresh tracks on the side of the road by lodge.

Geocaching or GPS Adventure hunt

WE took a quick course in GPS reading and decided to go and a GPS Adventure hunt. Well 4wd and walking ahead to make sure we stayed on top of ruts down a 2 track was just part of the experience. They told us to not to tresspass but there used to be a road. We came in 3rd and won a prize , got some crazy photos and had a lot of laughs. IF any one is interested we do have quite few caches nearby.
