Randy and Jason arrive for the goose opener.. Snows, Cacklers couple of Big Cans and ducks.. first day in the field and the shells per bird was not that great but Vinnie was our Rookie and he used those shells up.. I Think we sowed the seed and now have another Bird hunter in the family….

Snow geese are migrating in , sitting on a low spot on a pea field where carrying decoys by hand will likly be only way as we have had high levels of rain fall during last few months. fields are pretty well saturated.. might mean soem deep ruts and 4 wheelin it.. dont get stuck what ever…

Strong north west winds blowing for the last few days, lots of migrators have arrived over night andove rpast few days. Bird hunters arrive on 24th

Preparation for Goose and duck hunting, socks on socks off, Warren and Chico checked out the decoys nad blind to make sure all is ready… only a few days till hunters arrive

Vinnie while out visiting with the hunters uses the 22 mag and puts this red squirrel down.. Pass ing the time in bear camp covers a lot of things..A young fellow seems to find lots of things todo.

Away Outdoors pro staff Wes J. used Dead Down Wind for scent control while hunting this awesome black bear at fall bear camp.. Circling the stand this bear is not sure if he can smell Wes or the Anise we sprayed on Tys boots before he went up to sit in the camera stand..

While in bear camp Away Outdoors does some promo shots..Some sponsors of the Hunting show are Outdoor edge knives..Tom uses this swing away knife to make the first cut on bears and whitetail.. Bear Scents bacon flavor is a great attractant when hunting bears..

Sun finally decided to shine in Manitoba today long enough for Jules and Brett to get some sharp shooting in.. Many shells later, many less gophers in the farmers field and many laughs too Brett and Jules now can say they shot Mini Prairie Dogs in Manitoba or we call them Richardson Pocket Gophers…

Brett and Jules are pumped to see if they could take a coyote while in Manitoba..Not far away we have a good pop so 630am off we go. Sitting waiting for sun to rise and out comes the Whilly fellow.. Brett clicks the safety off and pop he puts the dog to the ground… Going across the field with the truck we nearly get stuck in low area.. Just what we would have needed 655 am stuck in field… Now he has another hide to travel back to Austrailia after tanning…Way to go Maites….

First time bear hunter, Brett is pumped he has come all this way for a Black bear..Jules got hers now he is after his.. in walks this unique bear.. sizing up the bear to the barrell, pulling to full draw and he lets fly.. Great pass through great shot and Bear is down.. He radios Judy and just 20 yds from the site there the Manitoba Black bear lays..Afull Body mount is  in the plans after  this hide reaches Austrailia… Now he cannot wait till he can come back for A MONSTER he is thinkin already..  Way to go Mate….
