Great memories1999 the Illinois Boys of Bowhunting.com arrived for a goose hunt,, today I talked to Todd, owner of Bowhunt to Die and our webhost discussing, websites, hunting and just wonderful to be alive and healthy.. Bow his golden dog on right, and Pats black labs front and back did a good job of retreiving the woonded birds from the shooters shots..

Manitoba Ice fishing Derby

Ice fishing derby was a great hit in the area, I spent the day being the Camera man,, ofcourse nothing that I loved better,, only 700 clicks that day… but this fellow had the best catch of the day and won the $10,000 for winning prize..

Winter wonderland

Mother nature paints some Awesome pictures when she is pounding us with high winds and snow. It amazes me how things like the snow has attached itself to this cattail.

Winter activites in Manitoba

manitoba outdoorswhat do i do in the winter  in Manitoba when it is 20-40 below? you are lookin at it. Every day after I feed the dogs about 330pm we go for a walk, I have made trails in the woods around the lodge and through sloughs, and south across field 1 mile.. then depending on wind direction I can head out for 3/4 of an hour and get some exercise, fresh air and the dogs also.. When it is cold fudge is only one who goes, as Jazzy and Baileys hips are starting to fail so they get to stay where it is warm..

Skiers and snowboarders of the area gather to stay at Big Grass Cabins on weekends and holidays during winter to hit the slopes of Asessippi Ski Hill just 25 minutes from the lodge.. Outdoors in Manitoba is Cold and we need some warmerupers when we get back. and the old Red Solo Cup does it great…
