Finally after years of waiting he has had a disc replacement. Here he is kind of slow but just 8 hours after going into the operating room he is drinking coffee and walking down thehalls harassing the nurses.

Santa gifts were opened at 7 am then they had to wait till Grandma and Grandpa arrived to finish the rest. Here Grandaughter Jessica and her mom examine something she just opened. Dora was the most popular for Jessica.

With all the gifts opened and waiting while breakfast cooked Travis makes a swinging cannon ball with his new Tinker toys and waits for his new remote car batteries to recharge. Spider man was the choice of most parcels under the tree for Travis.

Deer hunting area
Judy is assisting Tom doing some repairs on the deer stands in teh hunting area. Thart morning the snow started to fall and ended up makeing the ground completely white but later in the day it slowly melted

While out checking bear baits I came across this mallard hen and her brood. 4 ducklings that I got in viewfinder and 2 has swam into the reeds. Many sloughs and ponds in the area are showing good numbers of gadwal, teal and mallard families.
Just northof camp I had a female Eagle sitting on nest while I was there. No sign of eaglets but she would not move from nest.

Sitting on tall trees just near the end of the lane 2 eagles sit in wait of a Cripple, or weak bird. Or maybe it is the carcass pit out in the field which is attracting them.

After the bear is skinned Marylou and Jay do some trimming on the meat and prepare it to be frozen. They will grind some to hamburger and butter fly the chops for some good eating.
