Dairy Queen tastes great.

Daryl of Dairy Queen in Neepawa is a great contact when hunters are travelling back south from Manitoba. Also we collect the spend grease from the friers for our bait. The bears like DQ also…..

Fishing in Manitoba

Trolling up the river and drifting down on the fast current due to high water levels on  Dauphin River created awesom conditions for many boats from Winnipeg to Gypsumville. Every year Dale and Helgi have many fishermen come out to ejoy the good fishing here on Dphn River.

First LImits of Walleye

Just over an hour on the water and we had limits of walleye. We had a little feed first nite. Now we will put 5 x 4 fillets in the freezer to take home and then we will do some reall serious eaten.

Einarssons Guide Service

Walleye fishing in manitoba
The great part of driving that far was to stay a great friends Dale and Helgi Einarssons on the Dauphin River.. Dale and Helgi are comercial fishermen, outfitters and great friends.. We were accompanied by Tim Toms brother and gother friends Gloria and Gary.. Mosquitos were not even that bad with all the water laying around but the refreshing drinks in the evening to wind down after the long drive and many laughs had by all…

Manitoba Monster Mooose

Manitoba Moose
Landscape was typical for moose but this is all we saw.. and I do think even our photos on signs are bigger in Canada

Dauphin River Manitoba

We travelled 6 hours from Russell north east to shore of Lake Winnipeg where fishing was awesome.  They had received just as much rain as we in early spring in some places water was over road, ditches were full. The road was long but the finish was awesome..The country was new to Tom and I as we had never been to Gypsumville or Dauphin River…

double Header

We got on the water by 3 and had a double header in just a few minutes. the Walleye were nearly jumping in to the boat.

Manitoba Tourists in the Interlalke

July 9 6 am we headed north and first stop was for breakfast and photo at Asher where the lard Sharptail grouse statue stans.. Tom was pursuaded to do the photo shoot.

Manitoba Baby Moose

July 20 this little fellow showed up out of no where. standing in local farmers field couple hundred feet from a herd of cows.. No mother around, he seemed to be quite content to just browse the canola and then rest in a near by slough.. Local traffic stopped for photos and he never really minded.. After 2 weeks he has disappeared hopefully not to someones deepfreeze; Locals never did find any sign of a dead mum.

Creek Flooded

Wet much rain, high water
The creek which flows through our land was backed up by a busy beaver.. We had not been out back for couple weeks and headed out to put up a trail camera on the alphalfa plot out back however 6 feet of water backed up over quarter mile stopped us.. Local fellow came next day and dug culvert out and hopefully that beaver floated down stream
