While showshoeing with the dogs one afternoon we ventured down to the summer deer feeder which still had some grain in. Many animals were still feeding here, tracks from a few red squirrels, a mink, the fisher we had seen in the fall, hungarian partridges and ruffy grouses numbers unknown as there is a good flock of each around, many coyote tracks as we all know how many coyotes are around and ofcourse the whitetail trail. Deer have yarded up about 5 miles away and sometimes on a nice day we see the odd deer travelling accross the field to see if any fresh grain has fallen to the ground,.
