They made me walk all the way. Everyday Josh walks to and from the truck to the stand, Sometimes Tom and Jeff would meet him part way but most time they would be  just waiting for him to walk.  Then Jeff threatened to make him walk part way home if he did not keep him awake while driving he was going to walk last few miles home. ‘Just have an open mind Josh and they wont pick on you too much’

 Tom and his brother out cutting wood for the firepit and Toms work shop. Snow is about 6 inches deep, they are cutting beaver cut trees around some small sloughs just by lodge.

 

Nov 27 the neighbour brought over a bin to hold our oats for the bear baits. He pushed into place with the John Deere with no problem. THe next afternoon Bruce and Allen arrive with 400 bushels of oats. Now just to put it in the barrels  heat up the oil and bear bait is ready.

 

Our good friend and sometimes scout Gary filled his landowners tag with this awesome young bull moose

Oct 1 this fall. Needing some help for skinning and cleaning it up he gave me a call so after lunch and before

afternoon hunt we got the job done. Tom assisted him later to take it to cooling plant. 10 days later we

cut and wrapped it makeing some awesome tastey meals for the winter.

 

Good friend GAry and sometimes goose scout had a landowners moose tag and Oct 1 he calls needing a little help as he had gotten his moose. Between noon and scouting we skinned, and hung the animal and readied it for the cooling plant.

Then 10 days later we cut and wrapped it for the deep freeze. We have some awesome tastey

meat for meals over the winter. Along with some great sausage and jerky.

Deer season is now over and sausage making has begun. Sunday after pancakes and eggs and ham

we start the process. 2 deer were trimmed and ground ready for sausage. Mixing , stuffinga nd wrapping is all done by 230 pm and 150lbs later we are done. NOw all we have to do is cook it up and ENJOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WE are moving some tower stand s home for repair. Standing upside down there is no problem

with fitting 6 on the trailer and truck.

Here Tom moves the wheelchair hut around with Jeff in it. THe deer had no problem with the extra

movement in and out of field over the week.

Jeff hunts whitetail from a wheelchair in this moveable enclosed blind Tom created for him.

The ramp allowed him to use his wheelchair in the hunt and with a Mr Buddy Heater he stayed warm

for the days hunt. HE had many does at 30 yds and the a good shooter off to the right but he could not get

a shot taken. Hunting in a wheelchair is no problem as long as you have an OPEN MIND his son Josh states

when they come to camp, however by end of week OPEN MIND was takeing a different meaning when Judy wanted to hook the blind to back of suburban and head for home!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I do not know why no one has a sense of humour like her.

Vinnie takes this nice spiker at 40 yds while sitting in one of Grandpas enclosed blinds. What an

awesome buck for  a young hunters first buck. He has many years of pay back for sitting in a

heated stand on his first harvest

On our way one from deer scouting Nov 1  geese and ducks were sitting on ice around some open

water. I stopped to capture shots and the started to pick up. They were very flighting after a long fall

of being shot at.
