Rabbits turning color is a great sign for us when snow seems to be not going very quickly.

Nc client Mike S shows off his Crappie catch of the day! Mike hunts waterfowl for past 10 years with us and enjoys a walleye feed when in camp. He loves Crappies too has done a great job of catchen them.

         April 10 Bernie Optiz, Plymouth, Wis. we were just notified of his passing. He was a great bear hunter and took his largest bear of his hunting a 6 fter  in our Camp. His last trip at 83 years old he sat in our fall bear stands, enjoying life to the fullest, “Just not as fit as I used to be Judy he said on this last trip, Cannot see so good any more”  He made the trip with son-in-law Don every year and they shot a lot of gophers when in camp. He will be missed by many.

just received notice my 2011 bear ended up being the number 1 bear for non-resident in 2011–Cool as we get ready to visit again next month had a couple things 1–could you email me driving directions from Winnipeg to camp 2-as in the past I love helping check and repair bait site in the am so I hope that would be ok again this year 3-as like last time (until big boy showed up) would like to try hard for a color phase Sure looking forward to seeing you guys again and visiting my best bear hunting camp Your friend Ed

Critters still feeding at the grease barrel. we had a recent snow of 8-10 inches and these were all covered up then just yesterday I see fresh tracks coming in from back slough and the critters are again feeding at this grease barrel.

Tom is thinking Jazmine will have puppies in the next few hours. however it is still not happened and 24hours later but Judy is now midwife so it will be exciting!!

Snow levels here in Manitoba are higher than last. A year ago today temps were at 70F this morning sunrise it was -5F just a little difference.. Road is getting pretty narrow hope the municipal plow comes soon.. And hopefully NW winds do not blow!  Ducks should be happy this spring.

Suet from the deer Tom shot in NOvember feeds these little fellows. The sunflowers ran out and they are jsut flocking to the suet, however temps did drop to -30 last eve.  So I guess the need to eat to keep warm.
