Who is it?

Temps dropping and we dress for the weather. But I do think this fellow is thinking Deer hunting not Waterfowl hunting. could you please turn it the other way! Oh it doesnot matter as long as we dont get frost bite.

Oct 13 Coen Group of Iowa

Brandon, George, Jerry, Eddy, Doug and Jon smackm hard. Big Canadians some Cacklers and a good many mallards makes for some good shootn on a field of peas in 70F temps. George and Jon give their dogs a good work out also.

Oct 11, a good Manitoba goose and duck shoot.

Not bad shootn for these fellows from Minnesota.

Geese in Take off

Judy scouts the X for tomorrow morning. The Snows lift off the field as the sun sets in the west. Red ski means some good winds for our set in the morning. Wind direction is always checked for the decoy setting.

Ducks snows and Canadas

snows Canadians and ducks in the field

3 shells per bird was the average of this morning in the field.

Ducks over a small pond

Duck hunt last nite lasted till too dark to pick decoys. Temps dropped over nite and 1/2 inch of ice on the pond makes for a little challenge when retreiving the decs.

Duck hunting

Ike waits for the ducks to come…

Big Grass Dinner Table

Room for one more No problem. Our dinner table sits as many as we have in camp a little tight but noone ever seems to go away from the table hungry. Good old Meat and Potatos with some scrumptious desserts makes for a good ending of a Day in the field.

2010 Big Grass Waterfowl Team

Mid season here all smiling after a snooze and we gather for a photo.. Tom and Judy of course, and Warren -or Birdman who most people know.. Patty our cook, Derek guide and Brandon did our videoing capturing some great shots and footage while in camp.

“Clients return as Friends”

Dave T. returns for his tenth hunt with Big Grass. His group has changed from family to good friends. But he still returns to experience the Manitoba Waterfowl Season. Dave is always first in line for Tom and Judy’s pokes and he always has a good come back.
