Ray now has his bear on the ground. Still we have a couple of fellows hunting in this awesome weather so the guides and Ray take advantage and have a hot dog over the fire a cup of hot coffee and tell some interesting stories of hunting,, All the truth too!!!
Jody takes this 6 ft red bear with his muzzleloader. Jodys 4th nite hunting, back to 1st stand he sees this huge bear show at a distance. Teh Rut is on and this huge boar is trying to wind a sow we had seen week before at this bait. We had seen prints at the site of a huge bear and when he shows Jody knows this is the one. Shot placement is very important on a large animal like this. What a great trophy!.
Who would believe to wakeup in morning to 10 inches of snow. WE are bear hunting supposed to be warm sunny and Spring. Baits are being hit hard and with gale winds in daytime bears are feeding at night when wind lays
