What do you do when guys are watchn movies and you are bored,, Eat.. if nothing to eat next best thing is to make some buns for dinner with a pot of home made chicken noodle soup

WE are doing the Management baits here but cannot access area as usual cause many places roads are washed out and culverts sitting down stream..

We had to move a bit site water was too high and could not access it so here shooting lane cut, stand placed and new greacepad made along with meat, barrel of oats, scent sock done.

LIquid Smoke makes great attractant for bears.. sprayed on a sock and in the trees.. We also use it as a cover scent after getting hunter in stand just alittle around.

We usually drive on this road to get to Judys Lost bait however mother nature is preventing us from the easy route so we muxt go around by field, water and mud..

Spent oil at the sight makes for great grease pads for bear hunting..

Sat am we are off with our first load of barrels for the upcoming hunt.. Weather conditions and Mother Nature have both made things a little difficult for our yearly bear hunting… Roads closed and washed out, late spring and we still have lots of snow to travel through to get to some sites.. farmers were in the fields last year by April 12. this year it will be lucky if they are started by May 21..  It should be a lucky day if we come home with dry feet this nite

We remove empty barrels and replace with full ones, this barrels still has hair stuck on the edge from a bear reaching in to get last kernels of oats from bottom of barrel.. This was brown hair here on this barrel.. Should be interesting if we get a colored bear off this bait this year or if he has moved along to another area.

Every year we haul many pails of oil to put on the ground for scent pads when we put out the new barrels of oats.. The oil get on the bears feet and then was he walks away from the bait another catches wind of the scent and comes in.. we have seen where the oil is on the logs 200-300 yds along a game trail..  It is messy to work with but sure makes great bear hunting..

This sign seems to be at more intersections than we really want.. Just 5 miles from camp to the east culverts are gone sitting out in the middle of the swamp and just 2.5 miles North west of the camp same thing..does not make for convenient travel.. However we have no choice but deal with it..
