We kept track of number of passes we made down the river and after 12 passes we had boated over 40 fish keeping 18 for our afternoon lunch.. Helgi offered to do Fries in the deepfrier and he stated he had to change the oil and we could deep frie the walleye also… Now we nearly burst after eating all that taste food but it was really worth it.. the we were all down for a nice afternoon nap before going out after supper.. for a catch and release eveneing..

Scouting for ducks and geese and I come upon a nice flock of Hungarian Partidges.. What an awesome sight.. Over the years it just makes my day when I have luck to see this..

Ron, Jeff, and Dave do a good job of puting these birds to the ground..Birds are feeding ont the burned wheat stubble and with a little low cloud and slight winds they do a not bad job averaging 3 shells per bird.

 

After back surgery on Sept 23 Tom gets togo to field with the dogs todo some calling and enjoy a great hunt with Dave.. He has been takin it easy but it is going to be a long haul yet.. and we all know how to takes it easy..
