Second nite in the stand her confidence is peeked and out walks this bear… Oh no my heart is going to burst.. how can i steady and make a good shot… Calm down…. Cool no problem she does it ….This bear only went feet from the barrels of the bait and after a very long death moan which makes hair stand on you neck the bear is DOWN… Breaker breaker  Bear down. bear down.. Judy come quick my bear is down.. We retreived this bear took photos at the site and now Jules of AUSTRAILIA has a Manitoba Monster Black Bear….

Theres a bear only yds from the stand as Wes gets set up for his hunt.. his heart is pumpin… After a long hour a movement on the side and a bear is chompin his teeth and huffin under the stand.. WEs isi not sure of this bear hunting…Will his heart slow to steady a shot ,, will the bear come up the tree to visit… oh heck I will just nail him to the ground with a muzzie and that is what he DID… Wes has his first bear hunt on tape and he has an awesome story and a Manitoba Trophy Bear hunt… Congrats Wes…

Ty nails this great black bear with a muzzie blade and puts him down just a few yards from the bait site.. After a heart pumpin moment and a long death moment Ty is able to tell his story on camera.. His hunt will air on Away Outdoors in Jan on Pursuit Channel.. Way to go Ty… Awesome first bear.

2 bears in early afternoon.. camera is not working after 7 pm for some reason.. techno is not up on motion cameras. the bear close to the barrel is a good size if you see how wide the muzzle is. as the camera is 10 ft up on tree

this bait is an old dependable for shooting bears. Established over 10 years ago, large colored and black bear hav been taken from this site.. and many barrels of oats and grease fed here. We spray liquid smoke around for great bear attractant.

We pour many gallons of oil at the baits for scent trails.. Each bear going brings many back to each bait..

Here we are placing cream cheese icing on the tree we needed a goody bucket but didnot have one..this is a new bait just placed and now hit in less than a week..

This tree is along the trail by one of the baits you can see the tree has been stripped of branches and leaves.. Early in spring when we see this it is usually a boar marking it territory but at this time  of year it is usually numerous bears with nothing to do. the gras is pack down like a herd travelling here. trails everywhere… With this sign I know we will be putting many barrels of oats here before hunters arrive. one year in 4 weeks we placed 13 barrels to one bait.. the hunter saw 12 bears one nite.. Make for kind of expensive vitals for bears…

80F and humidity high and we have to get the baits int he bush. 3 weeks till hunting fall hunters arrive and it is time to get activity at baits.. Lots of sign along the trails so far.
