July 9 6 am we headed north and first stop was for breakfast and photo at Asher where the lard Sharptail grouse statue stans.. Tom was pursuaded to do the photo shoot.

July 20 this little fellow showed up out of no where. standing in local farmers field couple hundred feet from a herd of cows.. No mother around, he seemed to be quite content to just browse the canola and then rest in a near by slough.. Local traffic stopped for photos and he never really minded.. After 2 weeks he has disappeared hopefully not to someones deepfreeze; Locals never did find any sign of a dead mum.

The creek which flows through our land was backed up by a busy beaver.. We had not been out back for couple weeks and headed out to put up a trail camera on the alphalfa plot out back however 6 feet of water backed up over quarter mile stopped us.. Local fellow came next day and dug culvert out and hopefully that beaver floated down stream

Vinnie our grandson plays on  local team and of course it is great to take time to go watch him..

10;30am for 24 years Binscarth has held the Canada Day  Parade. Home town Proud is how small towns keep going, good parade, good friends meet for a lunch at the museum and over 400 people gather for the celebrations.

Tomand Judy take time to do a little walleye and perch fishing on Silver Beach on Sat nite. 2 hours on the lake and we have 2 limits of eaters.. Yes I know we are usually after trophys but with no hunters in camp we think of Food and then maybe we will have some left over for fall bear season and a nice Walleye Fry…. A tasty treat…..

Grandpa Tom and Grandma Judy are very proud of our Granddaughter Missy who graduated at end of June…. Yes we do clean up not bad.. No Camo No baseball caps……lol

4 bears in total 6.5 ft Cinnamon, 6 ft Blonde, and 2 smaller blacks fill Marylow and Jays in Wv… Russ thier son took the one with the behive , Marylow nailed the small sassy one sitting on the log and you can see back end of Jays monster with a 21 inch skull in 2007..   Now one more hunt to come to get a bear for thier granddaughter and Jay will be looking for a big blonde also..

Marlyou received her full body bear mount from www.holmantaxidermy.com in Manitoba in early May….This is an awesome trophy for a sharpshooter like Marylou .. Congrats it looks great…
